In 2017, the plan to build a new school building was underway with the goals of expanding the capacity from the current 625 up to 2000 students, including grades 9 to 12, and obtaining accreditation.
The St. Ignatius High School has until July 2023 to complete these required six prerequisites to receive permanent accreditation. These requirements were set by the Indian educational ministry.
- Completion of the entire third (top) floor classrooms = $129,350.00. (above left)
- Complete backup well for the school: $900.
- Monsoon roof repairs = $ 18,000.
- Complete the dome roof covering the quad of the high school bldg.: $17,550. (above right)
- Boys dormitory building repairs and paint = $10,960.
- Replace cyclone-damaged windows of the girls dormitory = $4,850.
